Jason Hurst
Head Coach/Director of Operations
Jason is one of the best hitters in Georgia Southern baseball history, with a .380 career average good for 2nd all time. His 25 doubles in a season rank 2nd, and his 25, and 24 game hitting streaks rank 2nd and 3rd in program history. After spending 10 years as a Division 1 and professional player, Jason spent 3 years in player development for the Tampa Bay Rays. He spent 2013-2020 coaching HS including a 2014 State championship (football) and a 2015 State Championship baseball as the head coach. Jason is currently assistant baseball coach at Enterprise State Community College.
Les Lancaster
Pitching Coach
There isn't much in the game of baseball that Les Lancaster hasn't done. Les has played and coached internationally in Japan, Taiwan, and Mexico, along with reaching the pinnacle of baseball where he was a Major League pitcher for 7 years. Les pitched in 323 games and made 39 starts. Coach Lancaster pitched for the Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, and St Louis Cardinals, on his way to 42 career wins, 22 saves, and a 4.05 ERA. Lancaster was known to be a great fielding pitcher, making 1 error in his MLB career. He has also spent 11 seasons as a Minor League Manager, and numerous others as a pitching coach.
Zach Hanson
Coach
Zach is a redshirt sophomore at ESCC, from Daphne, AL. He coaches with tremendous energy and passion. Zach caught, pitched, DH'ed, and played the OF for the weevils in 2021. Zach is our 13U Head Coach.
Hunter Phillips
Coach
Hunter is a Junior middle infielder at AUM that posses great speed and has played a variety of different positions in his college career, its that versatility that makes him a great coach. Hunter was our 14U head coach in the summer of 2021.
Mac Danford
Coach
Mac Danford is a redshirt sophomore at ESCC. He is from Sneads, FL and spent the 2021 summer playing for the West Virginia Miners of the Prospect league. Mac has tremendous knowledge and enthusiasm. Mac has all the tools to be a profesional baseball player in the near future. Mac is our 14U head coach.
